Background
In higher education, maintaining course files has always been a labor-intensive process. Faculty members spend hours collecting student submissions, preparing assessment logs, and aligning them with institutional frameworks such as Outcome-Based Education (OBE). The process is prone to manual errors and inconsistencies, especially during audits and accreditation reviews.
Objective
The goal of this project was to design a streamlined system that reduces the redundant manual workload while increasing accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness for academic institutions.

Solution – Integrated Course File
I developed an automated Google Workspace-based solution called the Integrated Course File. This system leverages Google Sheets and Apps Script to unify the entire course documentation process:
- Form Integration: Directly imports student submissions and faculty inputs.
- Automated Matrices: Dynamically generates CO-PO mapping tables and auto-validates compliance fields.
- Assessment Logging: Records internal assessments, project marks, and continuous evaluations.
- Evidence Tracking: Adds time-stamped links to evidence files, ensuring traceability during audits.
- Error Reduction: Built-in validations minimize the risk of missing or incorrect entries.
Impact
- Reduced course file preparation time by over 70%.
- Enabled faculty to focus more on teaching and mentoring instead of clerical tasks.
- Enhanced transparency and accountability during audit inspections.
This project demonstrates how UX thinking, automation, and system design can reshape academic administration, making documentation processes as seamless as possible.
